Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure
Last updated: February 2026
FlatFeetRunning is free to read. We fund the site with affiliate commissions and display advertising, and we disclose both plainly — as required by the FTC Endorsement Guides and by Google and Microsoft advertising policies.
Affiliate links
- Some outbound product links are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
- We participate in the Amazon Associates Programme and other retailer and brand affiliate programmes.
- Commission rates never determine which shoe wins a roundup or what rating a product receives.
- Affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored nofollow" so search engines can identify them.
Display advertising
- Pages may show ads served by Google AdSense/Ad Manager, Microsoft Advertising, or comparable networks.
- Ads are labelled and visually separated from editorial content — we do not place them so that they can be mistaken for navigation, downloads, or article text.
- Advertisers have no input into our articles, rankings, or scores, and no advance access to them.
- We never ask anyone to click ads, and we do not click our own.
Sponsored content
If a brand ever pays for placement or supplies a product, that article carries a clear “Sponsored” or “Gifted product” label at the top, and the commercial links use rel="sponsored". As of the date above, no article on this site is sponsored.
How we choose products
Our selection method, sources, and correction process are described in the Editorial Policy. Questions about a specific recommendation? Email arendwier@gmail.com.
